Note: 161st Street does not extend this far east, however Sylvan Terrace can be entered via a stairway on St. Nicholas Avenue that leads to the entrance.
About this Event
Double Entendre will present a Baroque period instrument concert on two separate dates at the Morris-Jumel Mansion; June 8 and June 9 at 7:00 p.m. The mansion was at one point a headquarters for George Washington and then the home of socialite Eliza Jumel. Ms. Jumel was married to Steven Jumel and also, later, to Aaron Burr. Located in Washington Heights, this mansion is a perfect venue for a Baroque concert! Be sure to stay for the tour afterward.
