Summer Concert in Bennett Park on August 20, 2013

Double Entendre will perform its eighth annual NYC Parks Concert in Bennett Park, located in Washington Heights between Fort Washington Ave and Pinehurst along west 183rd Street. This free hour-long program will begin at 6:30PM on August 20, 2013.

Double Entendre will perform its eighth annual NYC Parks Concert in Prospect Park at the Oriental Pavilion. This free hour-long program will begin at 6:30PM on August 22, 2013.

American Music Program at the Old Stone House on October 4, 2013

Double Entendre will perform an American Music program at the historic Old Stone House in Brooklyn at 7:30PM on October 4, 2013. The concert will feature chamber music by American composers, including a newly commissioned piece for oboe and bassoon by John Steinmetz.

Summer Concert in Bennett Park on August 30, 2012

Our seventh annual NYC Parks Concerts conclude with our return to Bennett Park in Washington Heights, between Fort Washington Ave and Pinehurst along West 183rd St. This free hour-long program will begin at 6:30PM. This year's summer parks concerts were made possible with generous support from the Jarvis and Constance Doctorow Family Foundation.

Summer Concert at the Oriental Pavilion in Prospect Park on August 28, 2012

Double Entendre will perform its seventh annual NYC Parks Concerts beginning with our first appearance in Prospect Park at 6:30PM on Tuesday August 28th. Our free hour-long concert program features works by the composers with statues in the Concert Grove adjacent to the Oriental Pavilion including Mozart, Beethoven and Grieg. Also on the program will be works from the American Civil War and marches, polkas, waltzes and more. In case of rain, the Oriental Pavilion provides space for both the performers and the audience.

Our American Music Program series concluded with a concert in New York's beautiful Catskill Mountains on Sunday January 8, 2012, at 2:00 PM in Hunter, NY, at the Doctorow Center for the Arts' Evelyn Weisberg Hall. Double Entendre Music Ensemble will performed Martin Bresnick's new oboe quartet, Going Home, a Meet The Composer commission as part of the third concert in the American Music Program series.

Double Entendre's American Music Program concerts were made possible with generous support from Meet The Composer, the Jarvis and Constance Doctorow Family Foundation, individual donors, and with public funds from the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature.

Going Home was commissioned through Meet The Composer's Commissioning Music/USA program, which is made possible by generous support from the Mary Flagler Cary Charitable Trust, the Ford Foundation, the Francis Goelet Charitable Lead Trusts, New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, New York State Council on the Arts, the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, and the Helen F. Whitaker Fund.

Quartet Concert for the Friends of Music in Stamford, NY

Double Entendre Music Ensemble will perform a double reed quartet program on Sunday Nov 21st at 3:00PM at the Frank W. Cyr Center for the Friends of Music in Stamford, NY. Music by Scarlatti, Lange, Pierne, Handel, Wilbye, Bartok, and Rosas will be featured. Admission by suggested donation at the door of $10 for adults, $5 for seniors and students, children under 13 free. The Frank W. Cyr Center is located at 159 West Main Street, Stamford, NY 12167. American Music Program at the Old Stone House

Double Entendre Music Ensemble performed the premiere of Martin Bresnick's new quartet, Going Home, a Meet The Composer commission, for oboe, violin, viola and cello on Sunday, September 26th at 3pm at the Old Stone House in Brooklyn, 336 3rd Street between 4th and 5th Avenues. Christa Robinson played the oboe with Caleb Burhans on violin, John Pickford Richards on viola, and Brian Snow on cello. The program also included pieces by members of New York Women Composers, including Wendy Griffiths, Faye-Ellen Silverman, Hilary Tann and Rain Worthington, as well as pieces by Bill Dobbins and John Harbison. This concert was made possible with generous support from Meet The Composer, the Jarvis and Constance Doctorow Family Foundation, New York Women Composers, individual donors, and with public funds from the New York State Council on the Arts, a state agency.

Grand Central Terminal Holiday Fair

Double Entendre Music Ensemble made its third annual appearance at the Holiday Fair in Grand Central Terminal's Vanderbilt Hall on Sunday Dec 6th and Sunday Dec 13th from 11:00AM until 1:00PM both days.

Wednesday, August 19, 3pm-5pm, Concert in Penn Station

On Wednesday, August 19th from 3pm until 5pm, Double Entendre Music Ensemble performed in Penn Station. The concert, part of the MTA's Music Under New York program, took place in front of the McDonald's which is near the 7th Ave end of the concourse, adjacent to the LIRR ticket windows.

Monday, August 3, 6:45pm-7:30pm, Concert in Central Park at the Naumburg Bandshell

On Monday, August 3rd from 6:45pm until 7:30pm, Double Entendre Music Ensemble performed in Central Park's Naumburg Bandshell. The Naumburg Bandshell is a lovely performance space made of stone. To find it, enter Central Park at 72nd street from either the east or west side, and walk toward the center of the park, just south of the Bethesda Fountain.

On Wednesday, July 15th from 4pm until 6pm, Double Entendre Music Ensemble performed at Grand Central Terminal's Graybar Passage, which is the northern hallway leading to Lexington Ave.

Friday, June 5, 8pm, Benefit Concert at Calvary Church

On Friday, June 5th at 8pm, Double Entendre Music Ensemble performed a benefit concert at Calvary Church 277 Park Avenue South (21st Street near Gramercy Park) in Manhattan. All donations at the concert went to Calvary Church's Homeless Projects.

Thursday, June 4, 6:30pm, Free Concert in Bennett Park

On Thursday, June 4th at 6:30pm, Double Entendre Music Ensemble presented a free outdoor concert in Washington Heights on the lawn of Bennett Park, located at 184th and Ft. Washington Avenue in Manhattan.
